UMFF 2009 Film and Script Submission

The 8th Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF) 2009 will be held October 16-18, 2009 in Norcross, Georgia. With the continuing theme "Changing the World, One Story at a Time," UMFF 2009 is seeking independent films that showcase the work of African, Asian and Latin Americans. All genres of films accepted - drama, comedy, action, sci-fi, faith-based, student, experimental, spoken word, etc. Get your submissions in today!

Part I. UMFF 2009 Film Submission (non-refundable)

Early Deadline: July 1, 2009 (postmark date)
Projects 30-Minutes Or Less -- $20; Projects 31 minutes or more -- $40

Regular Deadline: August 30, 2009 (postmark date)
Projects 30-Minutes Or Less -- $30; Projects 31 minutes or more -- $50

Late Deadline: September 16, 2009 (postmark date)
Projects 30-Minutes Or Less -- $40; Projects 31 minutes or more -- $60

Please include with your film/video submission: (1) a brief synopsis of the project; (2) electronic bios/photos of production crew and artist/group (if applicable) (3) date film was completed; (4) date and name of venues previously screened (if applicable). Submissions will not be returned.

Note: DVD and mini-DV accespeted only.

Part II. UMFF 2009 Script Submission

Regular Deadline -- July 1, 2009 (postmark date)
Short Screenplays -- $20 (35 pages or less); Feature Screenplays $40 (36+ pages)

Regular Deadline -- August 30, 2009 (postmark date)
Short Screenplays -- $40 (35 pages or less); Feature Screenplays $60 (36+ pages)

Late Deadline: September 16, 2009 (postmark date)
Short Screenplays -- $60 (35 pages or less); Feature Screenplays $80 (36+ pages)

Black and white hard-copy ONLY accepted.

All scripts must be registered with the WGA or copyrighted. Please include with your short-film script submission: (1) a resume for each writer; (2) a photo of each writer if available; (3) script synopsis. Submissions will not be returned.
